COVID-19 Health and Safety Update
United Places Botanic Gardens has stepped up precautionary measures to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and guests from Coronavirus.
- We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting using eco-friendly products — with extra focus paid to high-touch surfaces and public spaces.
- Hand sanitiser available throughout our property — at the front desks and back of house.
- Guests will be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least 1.5 meters away from each other.
- Limited number of room reservations accepted weekly.
- No-contact food ordering/delivery.
COVID-19 Updated Booking & Cancellation Policy
- In an effort to provide flexibility to our guests whose travel is impacted by COVID-19, we have implemented changes to our cancellation policies for new and existing reservations.
- For travel before 30th November 2020, guests will have the freedom to change or cancel at no charge by 2pm EST, 1 day prior to arrival.
- For travel after after 1st December 2020, please refer to standard cancellation policy.
- Guests who booked via online travel agents or are advised to contract their booking provider for information on their policies.
Arrival & Departure
- Check-in time: 2pm.
- Check-out time: 11am.
- Luggage storage services available at the Reception.
- Requests for early check in and/or late checkout are subject to availability and must be communicated to United Places at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled check in or check out (as applicable).United Places may approve a request for early check in in or late check-out at its absolute discretion. Applicable day charges or an additional night’s fee may apply.
Standard Cancellation of booking Policy
- Guests will have the freedom to cancel by 2pm EST, 7 days prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee.
- A cancellation fee of 50% of the full accommodation cost will be charged if you cancel within 7 days prior to arrival.
- A cancellation fee of 100% of the full accommodation cost will be charged if you cancel after 2pm EST the day prior to arrival.
- All cancellation requests are to be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- During Peak Periods (24/12/20 – 2/1/21) a policy of 14 day’s notice will apply to avoid a cancellation fee.
- During Special Event periods (24/9/20 – 26/9/20, 31/10/20 – 7/11/20, 31/10/20 – 7/11/20, 17/1/2021 – 01/2/2021) a policy of 30 day’s notice will apply to avoid a cancellation fee.
Amendment of booking
- All amendment requests must be communicated to United Places by 2pm EST, 7 days prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee.
- All amendment requests (including date changes) are to be sent via email to email@example.com
- All amendment requests are subject to room type availability and prevailing prices at the time of the amendment request. There is no guarantee of availability of a particular room type or room price.
- If the rate which applies to the amended booking is greater than the rate which applied to the original booking, you will be required to pay the difference in full at the time of check out.
- If the rate which applies to the amended booking is less than the rate which applied to the original booking, United Places will pay the difference in full at the time of check out.
Booking via email or telephone: Deposit and payment
- 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
- The remaining payment for accommodation will be charged at check-out.
- In the case of longer lengths of stay, all costs will be reconciled every 7 days.
- Bookings of four or more rooms will be classed as a ‘group booking’ and as such additional conditions apply:
- 50% deposit of the full accommodation cost is required at the time of booking.
- 100% payment of the full accommodation cost is required 30 days prior to arrival.
- Bookings cannot be cancelled or amended once pre-payment has been made.
Acceptance of Terms
- United Places Management Pty Ltd ACN 616 025 033: referred to as ‘United Places Botanic Gardens’, ‘we’, ‘us’ here onwards, operates the website www.unitedplaces.com.au ( ‘our website’).
- Our website and its content are provided for your personal use only and must not be used for any public or commercial purpose.
Markting and Promotional Offers
- Guest agrees to receive marketing communications.
- We will not sell, trade, rent or release such information to entities outside Untied Places Botanic Gardens, for use without your approval and giving you the opportunity to opt-out.
Governing law and jurisdiction

Ongoing Charges and Extras
- If the total stay exceeds one week, all outstanding costs will be reconciled every 7 days.
Credit Card Authorisation
- Credit cards will be preauthorised upon check -in t o ensure validity and availability of sufficient credit t o co ver for incident als and the balance of room cost, if necessary.
- If a valid credit card cannot be provided, a $400AUD cash deposit per night will be required at check-in and will subsequently be refunded upon check-out.
- Your credit authorisation or cash deposit may be used to cover incidental items, including costs of any breakages or damage incurred, telephone charges or additional cleaning.
Rights of entry and cancellation
- United Places reserves the right to enter any room at its discretion if it determines at its absolute discretion that it is reasonable to do so.
- United Places reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time before or after the check-in in the event of any of the following:
- Abuse towards any staff member.
- Evidence of possession or consumption of illicit drugs and / or intoxication resulting in inappropriate behaviour immediately prior to or during the stay.
- Violence, physical aggression and / or abusive behaviour.
- Damage to property.
- Payment is not made by the due date.
- If United Places determines that it is reasonable to do so.
Additional person / child policy
- Children and Infants (below 12 years of age) sharing a suite with parents may do so free of change if using existing beds and linen and not exceeding the maximum occupancy for the given suite type.
- Rollaway / extra beds are available at $100 per night.
- Infant beds (cribs) are available free of charge, upon request.
Use of information
- You consent to United Places collecting, using and, if necessary, disclosing your personal information for the purposes of providing you with services associated with your booking.
- You agree to indemnify and hold United Places harmless against any loss, damage, cost, expense, liability, action, claim, judgment or penalty suffered by United Places arising directly or indirectly as a result of or in connection with:
- wilful or reckless damage caused to the room by you;
- your access to or use of our website; or
- a breach of Australian and/or International intellectual property laws by you.
