What is the cancellation policy for Best Available Rate bookings?

A 7-day notice is required for cancellations of Best Available Rate bookings. Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in will incur the full accommodation cost.

What are the booking conditions for special event periods?

Accepted Answer

During special event periods, bookings are charged in full at reservation with non-refundable, non-transferable deposits. Special event dates include 2025: Mar 13–16, Sep 26–27, Oct/Nov 31–4, Dec 25–26 & 31; and 2026: Jan 1, Jan/Feb 19–1.

What is the policy for Advance Purchase bookings?

Accepted Answer

Advance Purchase bookings must be made 14 days before arrival with full pre-payment. They are non-refundable, subject to availability, and cannot be combined with other offers.

What is the policy for Extended Stay bookings?

Accepted Answer

For stays of 4 nights or longer, full pre-payment is required at booking. These bookings are non-refundable, subject to availability, and cannot be combined with other offers.

What are the check-in and check-out procedures?

Check-in is available from 2pm to 11pm, and check-out is at 11am. Luggage storage is offered at reception. Early check-in or late checkout requests must be emailed 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability and possible charges.

How do I amend my booking?

Send all amendment requests, including date changes, via email to stay@unitedplaces.com.au. Amendments are subject to room availability and prevailing rates, with any rate differences payable at check-out.

What are the deposit requirements for booking?

Accepted Answer

A valid credit card is required at booking and must be presented at check-in. Full payment is charged according to the booking terms, with cancellation fees applied if necessary.

What are the conditions for group bookings?

Accepted Answer

For group bookings (four or more rooms), a 50% deposit is required at booking and full payment is due 30 days before arrival. Pre-paid bookings cannot be cancelled or amended.

What is the policy for additional persons and children?

Accepted Answer

Children under 10 sharing a suite with parents may stay free if using existing beds. Rollaway beds are available at $100 per night, and infant beds (cribs) are provided free upon request, subject to availability.
