Made To Last : Loom Towels

A boutique Australian brand dedicated to supporting traditional shuttle-loom textile craftsmanship, Loom Towels was founded by Mikala James in 2011 after a chance encounter during a venturesome holiday in Turkey. United Places Botanic Gardens guests will appreciate the delicate, plush feeling of Loom Towels pestamels in black and grey. For our king-sized beds, and exclusive to U.P., we have sumptuous cotton blankets in harmonies of deep green and grey, or pink and purple, to match the respective colour palettes of our north and south facing hotel suites.

Hand-loomed in Southern Turkey, the brand’s exquisitely soft pestamels, blankets and towels are created from the highest quality of certified-organic Turkish cottons and dyes, following ethical, sustainable and fair trade practices. By nature of the shuttle-loom process, each collection designed by Mikala is limited to an edition of only 75–150 pieces.
