Melbourne is a city that thrives on independence, expression and artistic integrity and United Places Hotel Botanic Gardens is proud to offer a platform to local talent.
The U.P. Artist in Residence project is a short-term residency program for emerging and established artists. Awarded complimentary access to a private suite, artists are encouraged to produce a piece of work and share the process with guests and the local community.
In June 2020, United Places Hotel Botanic Gardens was proud to extend our residency program to ceramicist Sarah Nedovic and painter Marc Freeman – both of whom encompass a range of artistic mediums. Expanding into 2021, we were thrilled to host Lucile Sciallano and Ben Landau from experimental design studio Alterfact.
Selected works from Sarah, Marc and Alterfact are available for purchase on our United Places Objects store.
